Tragedy struck in Wagholi on the evening of December 12 when a pedestrian lost his life in a horrific accident involving a speeding dumper. The victim, identified as Indrajit Nivrutti Sarde, was a 58-year-old milk seller from Ubalenagar, Wagholi.
Sarde was on his way home after completing his deliveries when the dumper struck him near the Ubalenagar area, causing critical injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, Sarde tragically passed away at the scene.
His son, Samadhan, has taken legal action against the dumper driver, Raju Pandu Chavan, who fled the scene following the incident. Chavan, a 24-year-old resident of Suyognagar, Bhavdi Road, Wagholi, is now the subject of a police manhunt as authorities work to bring him to justice.
The Wagholi police have registered a case in connection with the accident, with Police Sub-Inspector Manoj Bagal leading the investigation into this heartbreaking incident. Our thoughts are with the Sarde family during this difficult time.
