Tragedy struck a family in Chakan as a mother and her teenage son lost their lives due to an electric shock on their house roof. Pallavi Jaju and 14-year-old Samarth Jaju were the unfortunate victims of this fatal incident that occurred on Tuesday evening.
The Jaju family lived in Kharabwadi in Chakan, where Pallavi decided to clean the terrace with her son Samarth by her side. Little did they know that an electric current had come into contact with the roof shed, causing a wire to hang from the iron angle, carrying the deadly electric current.
As Samarth touched the iron angle, he was electrocuted, prompting his mother Pallavi to try and save him. Tragically, both mother and son succumbed to the electric shock and passed away on the spot.
