Hey Pune peeps, here’s the scoop on what went down in our city today!
So, a three-storey building in Kondhwa Khurd had a bit of a fiery situation earlier this afternoon. The ground floor of the building caught fire, starting in a clothing shop. Talk about a birthday party gone wrong – a young boy was actually celebrating his special day when the fire broke out! Luckily, the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Fire Brigade came to the rescue.
The Fire Brigade received a call about the fire around 2:39 PM and wasted no time in responding. They sent out fire vehicles from two different fire stations in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found that two clothing shops were ablaze on the ground floor. The firefighters got straight to work, spraying water and making sure the fire didn’t spread to the upper floors.
In the midst of all the chaos, the firefighters managed to rescue five women and a 3-year-old boy who lived on the upper floor. They used breathing apparatus to get them out safely. The fire was put out in about twenty minutes, thanks to the quick and efficient work of the firemen.
Unfortunately, some items in the shops were damaged in the fire, including clothes, wooden goods, electrical appliances, and machinery. It’s still unclear what caused the fire, but thankfully no one was seriously injured. A woman and a firefighter did suffer minor burns, but nothing too serious.
The locals are singing the praises of the firefighters for their bravery and quick response, especially in saving the young birthday boy. Let’s give a big shoutout to the firefighters involved in the rescue operation – Ravindra, Satyam, Rafiq, Kishore, Yogesh, Sagar, Nilesh, Kunal, Govind, Harshal, and Harshvardhan. You guys are the real heroes of Pune today!
