The Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh recently organized a dialogue program with the newly elected MLAs from Pune City. The event saw the participation of various MLAs including Chandrakant Patil, Madhuri Misal, Bhimrao Tapkir, Siddharth Shirole, Chetan Tupe, and Bapu Pathare. During the dialogue, Minister Chandrakant Patil emphasized the need for Pune to have two municipal corporations to address the city’s growing needs.
Minister Patil highlighted that having a single municipal corporation in Pune is no longer feasible and that certain parts of the city need to be divided for better governance. He also mentioned the accelerated development projects in the district under the Mahayuti Government.
MLA Bapu Pathare announced plans for a new road from Warje to Theur to tackle traffic issues, along with proposals for rehabilitating slum dwellers and repurposing cleared land for public use. State Minister Madhuri Misal pledged to prioritize development in Pune District and resolve issues in newly included villages within the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
MLA Bhimrao Tapkir focused on expediting road projects using credit notes and ensuring follow-ups on issues affecting newly added villages in the PMC. MLA Chetan Tupe stressed the importance of addressing key issues such as traffic, water supply, health, law and order, education, sports, environment, and cleanliness with specific schemes.
MLA Siddharth Shirole provided updates on the Pune University Flyover and the Ring Road project, highlighting the expected completion of the flyover in the next 2-3 months and the upcoming operational Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar Metro. The dialogue program aimed to address various civic concerns and plan for the future development of Pune.
