Pune Metro has taken a significant step towards improving convenience and accessibility for metro commuters by opening new entry and exit gates at five metro stations. These newly opened gates are strategically located to ensure smoother passenger flow, enhance passenger safety, and ease congestion during peak hours.

At PMC Metro Station, passengers can now use Entry/Exit Gates no. 2 & 3 near the riverside, eliminating the need to cross the road to climb the metro foot over bridge. Similarly, at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Udyan Metro Station and Deccan Gymkhana Metro Station, the Entry/Exit Gates no. 2 & 3 are located on the opposite side of JM road, allowing commuters to access the foot over bridge without crossing the busy road.

The Bopodi Metro Station now has Entry/Exit Gate no. 4, while Kalyani Nagar Metro Station has Entry/Exit Gate no. 3, both of which help commuters access the foot over bridge without crossing the busy road. These new entry/exit points will greatly enhance the safety and convenience of metro travel for passengers.

By opening these new entry and exit gates, Pune Metro aims to provide improved accessibility and enhance the overall commuter experience. This move will distribute passenger flow more evenly, reducing congestion at existing gates, especially during peak travel times. Passengers will now have easier access to nearby landmarks and business districts, making metro travel a more attractive option.

MD Maha Metro Shri Shravan Hardikar emphasized the importance of these new entry and exit points in providing world-class metro services that prioritize passenger comfort and efficiency. Commuters are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these new gates to optimize their metro experience and help promote Pune Metro as a preferred mode of transportation.
