Hey Pune folks, listen up! Tomorrow is Eid al-Adha (Bakri Eid) and there are some temporary traffic changes happening near Golibar Maidan starting at 6 AM. So if you’re planning to head that way, make sure you’re aware of the following updates.

First off, public Namaz praying is taking place at Golibar Maidan, so to avoid any congestion and ensure everything runs smoothly, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Rohidas Pawar has ordered some changes.

Here’s what you need to know:
1) The route from Golibar Chowk to Swargate will be closed until the Namaz praying is done. You can take a detour via CDO Chowk, Giridhar Bhavan Chowk, Seven Loves Chowk, and then head to your destination.
2) The route from CDO Chowk to Golibar Chowk is also closed. If you’re coming from Kondhwa and Lulla Nagar, try going through Khatav Bungalow Chowk, Napier Road, and Mamma Devi Chowk.
3) The road from Seven Loves Chowk to Golibar Maidan is closed too. You can go via Salisbury Park, CDO Chowk, and Bhairoba Nala Chowk instead.
4) Changes on Solapur Road to Golibar Maidan route – consider going through Mamma Devi Chowk, Bishop School, or Napier Road and CDO Chowk.
5) Heavy vehicles from Kondhwa to Golibar Maidan will be rerouted via Gangadham Chowk.

The Namaz praying is scheduled from 7 AM to 10 AM, but it might go longer. Keep an eye out for updates as needed. Eid Mubarak, and drive safe!
