The Raje Shivray Pratishthan has been making headlines for their efforts in preserving forts for over 20 years. This New Year’s Eve, they teamed up with the Forest Department to crack down on misconduct at Sinhagad. From liquor to dangerous kite strings, they confiscated it all. Founder Mahesh Pawale made sure tourists understood the fort’s historical significance.
Members like Atul Gonte and Prashant Harekar were on the ground, along with Forest officers like Samadhan Patil and Komal Sapkal. They worked to keep the fort safe and educate visitors. After dark, everyone was asked to leave to maintain order. The campaign was a success, thanks to the hard work of everyone involved.
