Shaniwar Peth, 2nd December 2024: A 22-year-old youth from Narayan Peth has found himself in trouble with the law after causing a disturbance at the Shaniwar Peth police chowky. The trouble started when the youth was involved in a late-night road accident near Omkareshwar temple on New Year’s Eve.
The youth was reportedly riding his two-wheeler at high speed when he collided with a woman on another two-wheeler, causing damage to her vehicle. The woman wasted no time in reporting the incident to the police, leading to the youth being detained and taken to the police chowky for further proceedings.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the youth started causing a scene at the chowky. He allegedly verbally abused the police personnel and the woman involved in the accident, and even went as far as pushing Police Constables Thakur and Inamdar during the confrontation.
As a result of his actions, a case has been filed against the youth for obstructing government work and causing disruption at a police chowky. The matter is currently being investigated by Police Sub-Inspector Supriya Pandharkar. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
