It seems like the Navale Bridge area along the Mumbai-Bangalore highway in Pune is once again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Four women have been accused of engaging in prostitution in the area, causing a nuisance to the local residents.

This isn’t the first time such activities have been reported in the area. Just two months ago, the Sinhagad Road police had cracked down on similar incidents, but it seems like the problem has resurfaced. The women allegedly involved were said to be obstructing traffic and making obscene gestures, leading to complaints from the public.

Residents living near Navale Bridge have been vocal about their concerns regarding the women stopping along the road and engaging in illegal activities, particularly on the service road near the bridge. This has reportedly led to harassment of women and girls in the area, prompting the police to take action.

Police Sub-Inspector Suresh Jayabhaye is currently heading the investigation into the matter, following the recent complaints. It remains to be seen how the authorities will address this ongoing issue and ensure the safety and well-being of the residents in the area.
