The recent joint meeting between industrial associations and MIDC officials in Pune was a step in the right direction towards addressing key issues in industrial areas. Representatives from various associations in Pimpri, Chinchwad, Bhosari, Hinjawadi, Chakan, Talegaon, and Ranjangaon came together to discuss concerns and present their demands.

Some of the major issues discussed included the relocation of slums from MIDC land to make room for small entrepreneurs, the introduction of PMPML bus services in MIDC areas, the establishment of a fire station in Chikhali and Kudalwadi, and measures to address traffic congestion in Chakan. Additionally, improving road connectivity for Endurance Company in Chakan and allocating space for water treatment plants to combat Indrayani River pollution were also on the agenda.

Dr. Shivaji Patil, Deputy CEO of MIDC, reassured attendees that the government would provide support to create a favorable business environment. The association representatives expressed their appreciation to P. Velarasu, CEO of MIDC, for organizing the meeting and facilitating discussions on crucial industrial issues.
