Hey there, Pune peeps! Did you hear about the shocking theft at a cooperative bank in Nana Peth? Yep, you read that right – jewellery worth a whopping ₹13,59,401 has mysteriously disappeared from a locker at the bank. A 65-year-old woman from Bibwewadi reported the incident, which is believed to have taken place sometime between March 30 and May 15, 2024.
The woman and her sister-in-law had stored their gold and silver jewellery in the locker, only to find it missing when they went to check on it. What’s even more bizarre is that the bank’s records show no sign of the locker being opened during that time period. Talk about a puzzling case!
After reviewing the bank’s records and CCTV footage, a formal complaint was filed, and now an investigation is in full swing. The authorities are working hard to get to the bottom of this and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A case has been registered at the Samarth police station under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code. The hunt is on for the culprits and to recover the stolen valuables. Stay tuned for more updates on this intriguing case!
