Hey there, parents of Pune! The Education Department of Pune Zilla Parishad has your backs. They recently released a list of thirteen unauthorized schools that you should steer clear of when looking for a school for your little ones. During a press conference, Primary Education Officer Sanjay Naikade warned that these schools could potentially cause disruptions to your child’s education and advised against seeking admission to them.

With the admission process for private English-medium schools kicking off for the new academic year, it’s crucial for parents to do their homework. The education department is urging parents to double-check the recognition status of any school they are considering. Make sure the school is either Fully Recognized, Provisionally Recognized, UDISE Plus, or Self-Recognized before enrolling your child.

Naikade made it clear that unauthorized schools that continue operating will face a daily fine of ₹10,000, along with legal consequences. Schools that have submitted migration proposals must get recognition before the academic year begins to avoid trouble.

To tackle this issue, officials have been assigned to monitor unauthorized schools in Haveli and Mulshi talukas, as well as in the PMC and PCMC areas. Guidance rooms have also been set up to assist parents in making informed decisions.

The list of thirteen schools that have been instructed to stop admissions and advertisements includes familiar names like Jesus Christ English Medium School in Kamshet and Delhi Public School in Hinjawadi. Six of these schools do not have government approval, while five have submitted migration proposals.

So, parents, be vigilant and make sure you’re choosing a school that is recognized by the authorities. Let’s keep our children’s education safe from any potential risks. Stay informed and make the right choice for your little ones!
