Advocate Pralhad Kokare has taken the reins as Chairman, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his two decades on the Cosmos Bank board. With a background as a joint registrar of Co-operative Societies with the Maharashtra State Government, Kokare is no stranger to banking and administration. He’s been Vice Chairman in the past and has been leading the charge as Chairman since November 2024.
And let’s not forget about CA Yashwant Kasar, the newly elected Vice-Chairman. This chartered accountant is a real heavy hitter when it comes to qualifications – he’s a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT, a Project Management Professional, and a Fellow of the Association of International Accountants in London. Phew, that’s quite a resume! Kasar is an expert in tax laws and finance, and he’s been a Cosmos Bank director since 2019. He also wears the hat of secretary for Chartered Accountants in Co-operative Banks.
