Hey Pune peeps, heads up! If you’re planning on driving around the city from 11th to 15th January, you might want to take note of some temporary traffic diversions in place for the Army Day parade.
Deputy Commissioner of Traffic Police, Amol Zende, is advising commuters to plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid any disruptions during this time. Here’s what you need to know:
– The route from Shadalbaba Chowk to Kharadi via Chandrama Chowk is closed. Take the Ambedkar Chowk, Alandi Junction, and Sapras Juna Holkar Bridge route instead.
– The route from Vishrantwadi to Khadki via Holkar Bridge is also closed. Consider taking Vishrantwadi, Sapras Old Holkar Bridge, or Shadalbaba, Sangamwadi, and Patil Estate.
– If you usually drive from Bopodi Chowk to Khadki Bazaar, Church Chowk, or General Cariappa Road towards Metalik Church, you’ll need to go via Wakdewadi Patil Estate.
– Access to Aathmula Road from Poultry Farm Chowk Poultry Underpass is restricted. Make sure to go through Wakdewadi, Patil Estate-Sangamwadi, and Shadalbaba Road.
Remember to follow these alternative routes to keep the traffic flowing smoothly. Stay safe on the roads, Pune!
