Hey there, folks! Today we have some exciting news coming out of Pune, as Chandrakant Patil, the BJP leader, recently inspected the ongoing construction of the Peshwa memorial. He shared that the first phase of the project is almost finished and even extended an invitation to the Defence Minister to attend the grand inauguration ceremony.
But that’s not all – the memorial is part of a larger beautification project that includes a statue of Bajirao Peshwa and murals showcasing the Peshwa era. Funding for the project has come from various sources, including MLA Madhuri Misal’s funds, contributions from the district planning and development committee, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding.
During the inspection, Patil also instructed the Devdeveshwar Sansthan and Smarak Vikas Samiti to submit plans for the second phase of the project, with the assurance that the state government will provide full support for its completion.
The event was attended by several prominent figures, including BJP spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar, trust office-bearer Ramesh Bhagwat, and sculptor Vivek Khatavkar.
Looks like Pune is in for a beautiful addition to its landscape in the near future! Keep an eye out for more updates on this exciting development.
