1. The Chief Managing Director (CMD) of Mahavitaran emphasized the importance of providing new electricity connections promptly to consumers. He highlighted the need for officials to focus on recovering outstanding electricity bills, as a small percentage of consumers delay payments, leading to rising arrears.
2. The CMD also commended Mahavitaran’s achievements, noting the record demand of 25,808 MW on January 11, which was managed without additional power purchases due to efficient planning. He praised initiatives like the Chief Minister’s Solar Agriculture Feeder Scheme, which benefits farmers and reduces industrial and commercial tariffs.
3. During the meeting, officials like Pune Regional Director Bhujang Khandare and Chief Engineers Rajendra Pawar, Dharmaraj Pethkar, and Swapnil Katkar discussed strategies for swift implementation of programs and coordination with the revenue department to expedite progress.
4. The meeting also saw the participation of Acting GM (Finance) Madhuri Raut, superintending engineers, and departmental heads, demonstrating a collaborative effort to enhance electricity services in the region.
