Pune is buzzing with excitement as the latest police recruitment drive in the district is set to fill a total of 1,481 positions for Police Constables. With a whopping 1,96,811 applications received, the competition is fierce, with only one in 132 applicants expected to be selected. This recruitment comes three years after the last round in Maharashtra, right after the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Youth from all over Maharashtra are gearing up for the opportunity to wear the police uniform, with the recruitment process set to kick off starting tomorrow. In Pune Police Commissionerate alone, over 20,000 applicants are vying for just 202 constable positions. The recruitment process will be held at the Pune Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, with candidates required to bring all necessary documents and photographs.

Under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, 15,042 aspirants have applied for 262 constable positions. The recruitment process will take place at Saint Dnyaneshwar Stadium in Bhosari, which boasts a synthetic track. This unique feature presents a challenge for aspirants who usually train on regular grounds, but it also offers the advantage of being unaffected by the rainy season.

In addition to the Pune Police Commissionerate and PCPC, recruitment drives are also underway for the Pune Rural Police Force, Jail Department, and Pune Railway Police Force. A total of 42,403 candidates have applied for 496 rural police positions, while 1,10,488 applicants are competing for 513 constable posts in the Jail Department. The Pune Railway Police Force has received 3,182 applications for 68 available positions.

Overall, the recruitment process is expected to be conducted transparently, with candidates warned against falling for fraudulent promises of securing a position. Vigilance officers are ready to take legal action against offenders. The police force in Pune is gearing up to welcome the next batch of dedicated and hardworking constables, who will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order in the district.
