The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is taking a proactive step to address the mental health of its employees by introducing a new mental health app. With workloads on the rise and manpower shortage becoming a concern, the PMC is investing ₹1.25 crore in purchasing 2,000 subscriptions for the app through its CSR initiative.

Employees at PMC have been facing increasing stress due to higher workloads over the past few years. The new mental health app aims to provide support and resources to help them manage stress and improve their overall mental well-being.

The app will offer a range of tools to help employees maintain productivity and cope with the challenges they face at work. With a workforce of around 17,000 to 18,000 employees, the app will play a crucial role in supporting a large and diverse workforce.

In addition to the mental health app, PMC has already implemented various health initiatives such as regular health check-ups, wellness guidance, and yoga sessions. The introduction of the app is part of PMC’s ongoing commitment to promoting a holistic approach to employee health and resilience.

By investing in digital solutions and combining them with existing health programs, PMC is taking a significant step towards creating a supportive and resilient workforce. This initiative highlights the importance of addressing mental health challenges in the workplace and prioritizing the well-being of employees.
