Hey Pune peeps, we’ve got some exciting news for you! Two talented hairstylists, Rohit Suravarse of Rich Bit Salon in Wakad and Shweta Acharya of Amo’s Unisex Salon in Kharadi, have made the city proud by being selected as top 30 finalists in the Godrej Professional Spotlight competition.
This competition, organized by Godrej Professional, a leading hair care and colour brand, aims to recognize exceptional hairstyling talent across India and help them grow professionally. The grand finale, held in Mumbai, featured the creativity of these finalists as they showcased unique hair colour creations inspired by Godrej Professional’s Surreal Collection.
Rohit and Shweta wowed the audience with their exceptional skills and creativity, earning praises for their artistry. They also had the opportunity to attend masterclasses conducted by industry experts, including Yianni Tsapatori, Creative Director – Hair at Godrej Professional.
Abhinav Grandhi, General Manager at GCPL, expressed his excitement about the event, highlighting the initiative’s success in showcasing the talent of hairstylists and providing them with opportunities for growth. The competition was judged by a panel of esteemed experts and celebrity guest jurors.
As part of the program, all 30 finalists, including Rohit and Shweta, participated in a certification program conducted by the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council, which awarded them with a government certification empowering them to access loans for their professional ventures.
