The demand for fruits and vegetables has taken a dip in Market Yard after Makar Sankranti, with prices falling by 10% to 20%. The market saw a significant influx of produce following the festival, with 100 truckloads of fruits and vegetables being imported from both within Maharashtra and from other states.

The prices of leafy vegetables have also seen a decrease post-festive season, except for Spring Onion, Coriander, Fenugreek, Mint, and other varieties which have seen a price increase of 10% to 20%. Import figures show a large quantity of leafy vegetables being brought into the market on Sunday.

On the fruit front, Watermelon and Melon prices have gone up, while Lemon, Ber Fruit, Apple, Pomegranate, and other fruits have remained stable. The market received a substantial amount of pineapples, Sweet Lemon, Oranges, Pomegranates, Papaya, Lemon, Chiku, Guava, and other fruits on Sunday.

Overall, the market seems to be experiencing a shift in demand and prices post-Makar Sankranti, with some produce seeing a decrease in demand and prices, while others remain stable. Stay tuned for more updates on Market Yard and its ever-changing dynamics.
