- Dr. Nina Borade, the health chief of PMC, has revealed that surveillance teams are going door-to-door to collect samples from suspected patients for testing.
- Currently, there are 24 suspected GBS patients undergoing treatment in private hospitals in Pune, with patients ranging from 2 to 61 years old.
- Dr. Vaishali Jadhav, the assistant health chief of PMC, mentioned that five teams are monitoring affected areas in Pune, including Bajirao Road and Parvati Darshan.
- The Rapid Response Team, led by Dr. Babasaheb Tandale from NIV, is working with experts from BJ Medical College to analyze environmental and clinical factors related to the outbreak.
- Surveillance efforts will continue to ensure public safety and prevent further cases of GBS in the area.
