  6. The PMC has faced challenges in collecting rent and taxes from these departments, while also bearing the costs of utilities and other services.
  7. By transferring ownership, the PMC aims to reduce expenses, ensure efficient resource allocation, and simplify administrative processes.
  8. The Development Plan reserves land for public services, but PMC doesn’t receive adequate compensation from these departments.
  9. The PMC is considering exchanging these plots for alternative lands owned by the agencies occupying them.
  10. If approved, this approach could lead to significant cost savings and support government services across Pune.
