With a 30 kW rooftop solar power system in place, they are not only saving a whopping ₹35,000 every month but also setting a new standard for other residential complexes in the city.
The cherry on top? The project received a generous subsidy of ₹5.54 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Yojana. Talk about smart savings, right?

It’s been quite a journey for Bhagyashree Apartment, with the residents gradually transitioning to solar power over the past two years. Starting with an 11 kW system for common utilities, they eventually expanded to a 19 kW system on the rooftop to cater to individual flat needs. Talk about customized solar solutions!
And the best part? The entire project was completed in just one month, showcasing a smooth shift to renewable energy. Kudos to the residents for their dedication and forward-thinking approach.
Mandar Deshmukh, one of the residents, summed it up perfectly: “We are thrilled to have zero electricity bills every month. The subsidy from the government has made this project financially viable, and we will recover our costs in just four years.”
Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar couldn’t be prouder of Bhagyashree Apartment’s green initiative. With nearly 6,000 rooftop solar projects generating 28.9 MW of power in Pune Circle alone, the future looks bright for sustainable living in Maharashtra.
