Alright folks, buckle up because we have some exciting news coming your way from Pune! Tata Technologies recently wrapped up their 2nd edition of the Tata Technologies InnoVent hackathon, and let me tell you, it was a success!
This hackathon focused on leveraging Generative AI and was supported by Microsoft and Tata Motors. The goal was to provide young engineering students across India with a platform to tackle real-world challenges in the manufacturing sector. Talk about hands-on experience, am I right?
The top ten teams had the opportunity to showcase their innovative prototypes at the Demo Day held at Tata Technologies headquarters in Hinjawadi, Pune. The final evaluations were conducted by a prestigious jury, including big names like Warren Harris, Sven Patuschka, Pravin Panchagnula, and Professor Sunil Bhirud. These folks were guided by Ravi Arora, Senior Vice President at Tata Sons.
And now, drumroll please, the winning team was CodeZephyr from Chandigarh University, Mohali! They walked away with a cash prize of INR 300,000 for their project on sustainable material integration for engineering excellence. Talk about making a difference in the world of manufacturing!
But let’s not forget about the other talented teams. Spaingit Coder from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala snagged the second prize with their AI-driven noise cancellation for a safer in-car experience. And Pluto from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore took home the third prize for their innovation on Generative AI for next-gen interactive customer support.
A special shoutout goes to HaxS from Manipal University Jaipur for their AI-driven defect analysis solution for automotive manufacturing. These guys received a special jury recognition for their outstanding work.
Tata Technologies was so impressed with the talent and innovation displayed by these teams that they offered job opportunities to 39 team members from the top 10 teams. Talk about a great way to kickstart your career in engineering!
