- In the meantime, PMC Commissioner Kadam has suggested looking into local wastewater treatment solutions to prevent untreated sewage from flowing into the rivers.
- The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has promised support to PMC, including funding assistance from the state government, guidance, and help in acquiring additional land for solid waste management, a critical issue in the city.
- Kadam stressed the importance of community involvement, calling on housing societies to maintain their sewage treatment plants and encouraging citizens to opt for eco-friendly alternatives for cremation to reduce air pollution.
- The board reaffirmed its commitment to working with PMC to achieve sustainable pollution control goals.
