Hey there Punekars! It seems like there’s some drama unfolding in our city involving some big-time builders and investors. Here’s the lowdown on what’s been happening:

1. The Pune City Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has been flooded with complaints against builders Amit Kantilal Lunkad, Amol Kantilal Lunkad, and Pushpa Kantilal Lunkad. Investors are alleging a whopping fraud of over Rs 50 crore, claiming they were promised sky-high returns of up to 1.5% per month.

2. The complaints against Amit Lunkad and co. are currently under investigation, but many investors are getting antsy about the slow progress. The Pune City Commissioner of Police, Amitesh Kumar, has promised to look into the matter personally.

3. One of the main complainants, Pravinchand Jain, poured Rs 6.81 crore into Lunkad Realty (now Sky One Corporate Park) back in 2014-15. Initially, things seemed hunky-dory, but by 2019, cheques were bouncing left and right due to insufficient funds.

4. Other investors like Khinsara Chavan, Ashok Raisoni, Satish Selot, and Deepak Lunkad have also come forward with complaints ranging from Rs 1.22 crore to a whopping Rs 26.70 crore.

5. The EOW has received a slew of complaints since October and November 2024, but progress has been sluggish. Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Masal has assured Punekar News that they are now actively processing the complaints and investigating the matter.

6. In response to the allegations, Amit Lunkad has vehemently denied any wrongdoing. He claims the accusations are false and malicious, and that they have always paid interest to lenders with proper documentation.

So, Punekars, it looks like this saga is far from over. Keep an eye out for more updates on this developing story!
