For years, businesses have been getting away with allowing parking on the narrow service road, causing major headaches for commuters trying to get to Bibwewadi via Lake Town. But now, with the service road being cleared of parked vehicles, thousands of commuters can breathe a sigh of relief.
The service road, which is a convenient route for residents from Sukhsagar Nagar, Upper Indira Nagar, and Bibwewadi, has been plagued by congestion due to vehicles parked on both sides of the road, particularly near establishments like Pizza Hut. This has not only caused delays for commuters but has also resulted in ambulances getting stuck in traffic, putting patients at risk.
With the service road now designated as a No Parking zone from Kadam Plaza to Green Park building, the traffic police are urging citizens to report any objections they may have. Let’s hope this move brings some much-needed relief to the area!
