- Paradise Holidays in Aundh, Pune has recently come under scrutiny for allegedly defrauding customers out of more than Rs 11 lakh.
- The director of the travel company, Ravindra Babaji Shendkar, is facing charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal breach of trust and cheating.
- The incident took place between February and June of this year at the company’s office in Aundh’s Bremen Chowk.
- Abhishek Manikrao Nanaware, a resident of Market Yard, filed a complaint with the Chaturshringi Police Station regarding the fraudulent activities of Paradise Holidays.
- Nanaware had paid Rs 70,000 for a trip to Jammu and Kashmir that was allegedly never fulfilled by the travel company.
- It is reported that Shendkar not only took money from Nanaware but also from two other customers for the same trip, resulting in a total loss of Rs 11,00,797.
- Chaturshringi Police are currently investigating the matter to bring justice to the affected customers and hold the director of Paradise Holidays accountable for his actions.
