The peaceful atmosphere near the Kasba Ganapati Temple was shattered on Sunday when a businessman became the victim of a brutal attack. Yogesh Gopalji Thakkar, a 45-year-old resident of Bhavani Peth, was just trying to enjoy a quiet day when he witnessed two men riding recklessly on their bikes.
Thakkar, being a responsible citizen, couldn’t stay silent and advised the men to drive carefully. Little did he know that this simple act of kindness would lead to a violent altercation. The two men, instead of taking the advice in good faith, decided to confront Thakkar, hurling abuses at him.
The situation quickly escalated as the men physically assaulted Thakkar and even went as far as attacking him with a sharp weapon. Thakkar sustained injuries to his hand and back before the attackers fled the scene, leaving him in shock and pain.
The Faraskhana police were quick to respond to Thakkar’s complaint and have registered a case against the accused individuals. Police Inspector Ajit Jadhav was on the scene to investigate the matter further, with Police Sub-Inspector Chandrakant Jalagi also involved in the ongoing investigation.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of staying vigilant and reporting any suspicious or dangerous behavior. It’s a stark reminder that even a simple act of kindness can sometimes lead to unexpected and unfortunate consequences. Let’s hope that the perpetrators are brought to justice swiftly and that Thakkar makes a full recovery from this traumatic experience.
