Hey there, folks! Did you know that College of Engineering Pune (COEP) Technological University recently celebrated Republic Day in style? The event was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a jaw-dropping drone show that combined technology with national pride.

The celebration kicked off with the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Sunil Bhirud, hoisting the Indian flag in front of a crowd of university officials, faculty, students, and staff. But the real highlight of the day was the mesmerizing drone show put together by the university’s Aerial Robot Study Circle and Robot Study Circle, under the expert guidance of Dr. Shantipal Ohol.

The show was a sight to behold, with a drone manually unfurling the Indian flag and showering it with flowers to symbolize patriotism. And let’s not forget the hexacopter drone that performed a flower shower for the audience, representing unity and gratitude.

COEP Technological University is known for its expertise in robotics and artificial intelligence, being the only institution in Maharashtra offering B.Tech and M.Tech programs in these fields. The students at the Robotics Club have even gone on to author research papers, secure patents, and win big at national and international competitions.

In fact, back in 2017, COEP represented India at the international Robocon competition in Tokyo, Japan, after emerging victorious at the national level. Talk about making a mark on the global stage!

But COEP’s commitment to innovation doesn’t stop there. The Robotics Club actively engages with the community by organizing national competitions like Robotex International, FTC, and FLL, as well as conducting outreach programs to provide robotics training to school students in Pune.

The Republic Day drone show not only showcased the technological prowess of COEP’s students but also highlighted the university’s rich tradition of innovation. It was truly a blend of heritage and modern technology, leaving all attendees with an unforgettable experience and solidifying COEP’s position as a leader in technological education and research.

So, hats off to COEP Technological University for putting on an event that was nothing short of impressive! Here’s to many more groundbreaking innovations in the future.
