Hey there Shivajinagar residents, are you ready for some updates on the Pune Metro Line 3 construction progress? Well, here’s the latest scoop for you!

The Pune Metro Line 3, which will connect Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar, is moving along smoothly. Along with the metro construction, essential electrical work is also underway at a rapid pace. Specifically, the 132 KV underground cable work along Baner Road is crucial for the project.

Due to this work, there will be a temporary disruption in power supply in areas such as Shivajinagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University Chowk, Senapati Bapat Road, and the surrounding vicinity on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The power supply from the 132 KV Ganeshkhind Substation will be interrupted between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM on that day.

We urge all citizens to cooperate during this necessary maintenance work as advised by Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, the developer of Pune Metro Line 3. It’s all in the name of progress!

For those who may not be familiar, the Pune Metro Line III is a 23 Km elevated Metro rail project linking Hinjawadi to the central business district of Shivajinagar. It’s a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project awarded to a consortium comprising Tata Group’s TRIL Urban Transport Private Limited (TUTPL) and Siemens Project Ventures GmbH by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).

The project will be developed and operated by a special purpose vehicle (SPV), Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited (PITCMRL), on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate & Transfer (DBFOT) basis for a concession period of 35 years, including the construction period.

Exciting times ahead for Pune Metro Line 3, so stay tuned for more updates!
