1. Two individuals, Saifan Sheikh and Kiran Tujare, were recently apprehended in separate operations in Pune for possession of illegal substances.
  2. Saifan Sheikh was caught in Anand Nagar on Bibvewadi Road with 350 grams of cannabis, valued at ₹7,000. He has been charged under sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(a) of the NDPS Act at Market Yard Police Station.
  3. Kiran Tujare was nabbed near Shree Krishna Hotel Chowk with 30.35 grams of methamphetamine worth ₹6.27 lakh. A case has been registered against him under sections 8(c) and 22(b) of the NDPS Act at Airport Police Station.
  4. The successful operations were carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, DCP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional CP (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, and DCP (Crime) Nikhil Pingale. Inspectors Ulhas Kadam and Sudarshan Gaikwad played a key role in the enforcement efforts.
