The Matrushakti Nursing Pod was inaugurated at Pune Metro’s District Court Metro Station, providing a dedicated space for breastfeeding and baby care. Minister Meghna Deepak Sakore – Bordikar launched the facility, which is part of a CSR initiative by Evolent Health International Pvt. Ltd and Social Thumb Foundation. The pod aims to support women who face challenges while traveling on public transport without appropriate facilities for feeding or changing their babies. With the increasing number of women using Pune Metro daily, this initiative offers a solution to ease their journey. Anushree Jawanjal, founder of Social Thumb Foundation, expressed her excitement about the facility, stating that it will make public transport services more inclusive for mothers traveling with small children. The inauguration was attended by Pune Metro officials, Evolent Health International Pvt. Ltd representatives, and other key stakeholders.
