Are you tired of the overcrowded Pune Railway Station? Well, relief is on the way! The Railway Board has approved the construction of the Khadki Terminal to ease the burden on the Pune Railway Station. The work has already begun and is expected to be completed by December 2025.

With over 1.5 lakh passengers traveling from the Pune Railway Station and 200 trains operating via or from the station, the need for additional terminals is crucial. The Railway Administration has also proposed the development of another terminal at Hadapsar.

The Hadapsar Terminal construction has already started, with an express train already operating from there. A passenger terminal is also in the works at Hadapsar, with the tender process completed and construction underway.

According to Hemant Kumar Behra, PRO of the Pune Railway Division, the Khadki Terminal is planned to be completed by December 2025, with Rs 37 crore allocated for the project. The terminal will include a new platform, two stabling lines, and various facilities for passengers.

The new terminal will help reduce the load on the Pune Railway Station, with trains bound for Mumbai expected to run from the Khadki Terminal. The project includes widening and repairing platforms, expanding the foot-overbridge, and developing new platforms.

So, get ready for a more efficient and less crowded railway experience in Pune with the upcoming Khadki Terminal!
