Tragedy struck in Pune as a motorcyclist lost his life in a hit-and-run accident on the Market Yard-Gultekdi flyover. Nelson Paul D’Souza, a 50-year-old resident of Kasarwadi, was the unfortunate victim of the collision. His son, Gaurish, took swift action by filing a complaint with the Swargate Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the unidentified motorcyclist responsible for the incident.
The fatal accident occurred on 31st January around 4 PM when D’Souza was driving on the flyover. A speeding motorcycle crashed into his vehicle, resulting in severe head injuries that proved fatal. The reckless rider fled the scene immediately after the collision, leaving D’Souza in critical condition.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, D’Souza tragically succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care. The Swargate Police Station has taken up the case, with Senior Police Inspector Yuvraj Nandre and Police Sub-Inspector Shailesh Alate leading the investigation into this senseless tragedy.
