Hey Pune folks, heads up – there’s a major power outage coming your way on Thursday, February 6! The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) is doing some important work on high-voltage power lines in coordination with Pune Metro, which means parts of Shivajinagar and Deccan will be in the dark from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Three high-voltage substations of MSETCL will be affected, leading to a complete power cut in Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MahaVitaran’s) substations serving the affected areas. This outage is necessary for upgrades along the Shivajinagar-Hinjewadi Metro corridor, where MSETCL is laying 132 KV underground power lines.

So, if you live in Ganeshkhind, Model Colony, Gokhale Nagar, Aundh Village, FC Road, or any of the other areas mentioned, make sure you’re prepared for the power cut on Thursday. Authorities are asking for public cooperation during this time, and MahaVitaran has already sent out SMS alerts to consumers to let them know about the scheduled outage.

Stay safe and stay informed, Pune! And remember, it’s just a temporary inconvenience for some much-needed upgrades.
