Hey Pune peeps, here’s some news for you! The Mundhwa police have cracked down on a recent robbing incident where two individuals were arrested for robbing a man they met on a LGBTQ social networking app.

The accused, Karan Lacharkar and Manish Nimbalkar, lured the man to meet them in Magarpatta and then threatened him at an open space in front of Laxmi Lawns. They snatched his gold chain and fled the scene on a bike. The incident took place on January 23 around 9 p.m.

The victim initially hesitated to file a complaint but later reported the crime to Mundhwa Police Station. Thanks to Police Amaldar Vinod Salunke’s tip-off, the accused were apprehended within 24 hours of the complaint.

Assistant Police Inspector Raju Mahanor is leading the investigation into this case, with a dedicated team working under the guidance of senior police officials.
