The quiet neighborhood of Hadapsar was rocked by a dramatic incident recently when a man was kidnapped from his own home. The reason? His son’s love affair with a woman from Wagholi, whose family strongly disapproved of the relationship.
The man’s ordeal began on February 3 when the woman went missing, leading her family to suspect the young man’s involvement. Convinced of his guilt, they stormed into his family’s house in Hadapsar late at night, threatening and ultimately kidnapping his father.
Thankfully, swift action by the Hadapsar police led to the rescue of the victim within 12 hours. Three individuals, identified as Abhijit Dattatray Bhosale, Ranjit Ramesh Dikole, and Maruti Ashok Gaikwad, were arrested in connection with the case. However, their accomplice, Sagar Khurangale, managed to evade capture and is currently on the run.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde personally oversaw the operation, which culminated in the victim being rescued at the Patas toll plaza on the Pune-Solapur highway. The police are now intensifying their efforts to track down the remaining suspect and bring him to justice.
The incident serves as a reminder of the complex dynamics that can arise from relationships, and the lengths some may go to in order to protect their loved ones.
