Pune Rural Police have recently made a major breakthrough in a series of vehicle theft cases, leading to the arrest of a well-known criminal and the recovery of stolen motorcycles worth ₹6.60 lakh. The operation, conducted in collaboration between the Local Crime Branch (LCB) and Shirur Police Station, was successful in apprehending the suspect, Santosh alias Sharad Gajanana Ingole.

Thanks to intelligence provided by a reliable source, Police Constables Vijay Shinde and Nitesh Thorat were able to track down Ingole, a resident of Washim, and recover a total of 11 stolen motorcycles. The recovered bikes included various models such as Hero Splendor, Hero Passion Pro, and Honda Shine.

Ingole’s arrest not only led to the recovery of stolen vehicles but also helped close 11 theft cases that had been reported at different police stations in the district. With a criminal record spanning multiple districts, Ingole has established himself as a habitual offender in the realm of vehicle theft.

Following his arrest, Ingole was brought before the court and placed in police custody for further investigation. The successful operation was overseen by senior police officials, including Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, with Police Inspector Avinash Shilimkar and Police Inspector Sandesh Kenjle leading the investigative teams.
