Hey guys, sad news coming in from Rajgad – a 44-year-old trekker tragically passed away from a heart attack while trekking at Torna Fort in Rajgad (Velhe) taluka over the weekend. The man, identified as Ranjit Mohandas Shinde from Songaon in Satara district, was visiting the fort with his friend, Fazilat Khan, who quickly alerted the authorities when Shinde collapsed during the trek.
The Velhe police sprang into action and worked with the Disaster Management Team to bring Shinde down from the fort. It was a challenging task due to the terrain, but a dedicated team of police constables and volunteers worked tirelessly to get him to the base of the fort by early morning. Despite their efforts, Shinde was pronounced dead by medical personnel upon arrival at the parking area.
