Hey there, Pune folks! Big news coming your way. Former Maharashtra Minister Tanaji Sawant’s son was reportedly kidnapped, but hold up, there’s a plot twist! In a press conference with Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, it was revealed that it might just be a case of miscommunication.
According to JCP Sharma, the police control room got a call about the potential kidnapping around 4 pm. The teams sprang into action, gathering all the necessary info. Turns out, Sawant’s son had actually left from Pune International Airport. Efforts are underway to figure out where he’s headed and get him back safe and sound.
Sharma mentioned that a kidnapping case has been filed at Sinhagad Road Police Station, and the Crime Branch is on the case. They’re working hard to bring the young man back home.
But hold on, Tanaji Sawant had a different story to tell. He insisted that it’s not a confirmed kidnapping or a missing person case. Apparently, his son is with a couple of friends, and they’re not in any danger. Sawant did express some worry about the lack of communication, though. In their family, they always keep each other informed about their whereabouts, and this time, they were left in the dark.
Sawant found out about his son’s departure from his driver, who had dropped him off at the airport. They hopped on a private chartered plane, and the waiting game began.
This whole situation got a lot of attention because of Sawant’s former minister status. The joint press conference was called to clear up any confusion and give folks an update on what’s happening.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, Pune!
