Dr. Meera Kulkarni, a retired gynaecologist and public health administrator, is all set to showcase her first solo exhibition in Pune from February 14 to 17, 2025. Titled Yatha Darshan, which means “as one sees it,” the exhibition will be held at The Ravi Paranjape Art Studio in Model Colony.
What sets Yatha Darshan apart is its unique approach of featuring an audio-guided commentary for visitors to immerse themselves in the stories behind each painting. The exhibition will be inaugurated by renowned painter Chandramohan Kulkarni, in the presence of Smt. Smita Paranjape.
The paintings in Yatha Darshan are divided into four themes: People, Places, Faces, and Me Within Me. Each section offers a deep exploration of human emotions, places, and personal reflections, providing viewers with a glimpse into Dr. Kulkarni’s world.
Dr. Kulkarni, who retired as the Chief Health Officer of Nanded Municipal Corporation in 2016, has always had a passion for art alongside her medical career. Despite a successful career in medicine, she continued to nurture her love for painting and has now brought her artistic talent to the forefront with Yatha Darshan.
Through her paintings, Dr. Kulkarni hopes to share stories inspired by people she has met, places she has visited, and the emotions that have shaped her over the years. Yatha Darshan is not just an art exhibition; it is an invitation for viewers to find their own interpretations and witness the world through the eyes of a doctor and artist at heart.
