The Women and Child Welfare Department of the Zilla Parishad has come up with a cool prototype called the ‘Adarsh Hirkani Room’, which will be the standard design for these new facilities. And guess what? The first Hirkani Room is already up and running on the first floor of the Zilla Parishad headquarters, making life easier for women visiting from all corners of the district.
It’s all about making breastfeeding a comfortable and stress-free experience for new moms. The CEO of the Zilla Parishad noticed that many women visiting the headquarters struggled to find a suitable place to breastfeed their babies. So, voila, the Hirkani Room was born!
But wait, there’s more! This awesome initiative is going to be rolled out in phases. In Phase 1, 13 Panchayat Samiti offices will get their very own Hirkani Rooms. And in Phase 2, get ready to see these facilities popping up in 108 primary health centers across the district.
