Hey there, Pune peeps! Looks like there was some drama going down in Kothrud recently. The Patit Pawan Organization took to the streets in protest outside actor Rahul Solapurkar’s house. Why? Well, apparently he made some not-so-nice comments about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
The protesters were ringing bells and demanding that the police take action against Rahul for his remarks. They even submitted a memorandum to Senior Police Inspector Deshmane at the Kothrud Police Station. The protest happened on February 12th, and things got pretty heated.
The spokesperson for the organization, Ali Daruwala, didn’t hold back in a press release. He warned that if the police don’t do something about Rahul’s comments soon, they’ll be setting up shop outside the police station for a good old-fashioned hunger strike. Yikes!
The protest itself was a big affair, with lots of important folks showing up. State Vice President Balasaheb Bhamre, City President Shrikant Shilimkar, and a whole bunch of others were there to make their voices heard. Looks like things are far from quiet on the Pune front.
