Hey there, folks! Today we have some breaking news from Shivajinagar – the police have nabbed a notorious burglar who has been wreaking havoc in Pune and other cities in Maharashtra. The culprit in question is none other than Harshad Gulab Pawar, a 31-year-old resident of Gulabnagar, Ghotawade Phata, Mulshi.

According to the police, Pawar has been involved in over 50 house burglaries, using his skills in reconnaissance and disguises to carry out his crimes. The cops managed to recover gold and silver ornaments, a knife, a screwdriver, and a whopping 49 keys for breaking locks, with the total value of stolen goods estimated at ₹17.07 lakh.

At a press conference held today, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, along with Assistant Commissioner of Police Sainath Thombre and Senior Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant, confirmed Pawar’s arrest. The police had received a tip-off about his whereabouts near the Mhasoba Gate bus stop, leading to his swift capture.

During interrogation, Pawar spilled the beans about his involvement in 13 recent house burglaries in various areas including Shivajinagar, Warje Malwadi, Khadak, Airport, Chandannagar, Bavdhan, and Alandi. The police team, led by Senior Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant, worked tirelessly to crack the case and bring Pawar to justice.

It’s worth noting that Pawar has a history of similar crimes, having been arrested for 51 burglaries in the past. Despite getting bail in 2023, he didn’t waste any time before resuming his criminal activities. With his arrest, the police hope to close the chapter on multiple unsolved burglary cases in the city.

As of now, Pawar is in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to uncover any potential accomplices or hidden stolen valuables. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
