1. Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials have announced plans to build flyovers at five key intersections to address traffic bottlenecks. These intersections include Prakash Inamdar Chowk, Hingne Chowk, Santosh Hall Chowk, Manik Bagh Chowk, and Ganga Bhagyodaya Chowk. The executive engineer, Sandeep Patil, stated that the new flyovers will help increase vehicle speed, reducing travel time from 30 minutes to just five across the 2.5-km stretch.
  2. Asphalting work is currently in progress and is expected to be completed within 15 days, along with the construction of approach roads. Once finished, these flyovers will greatly improve the daily commute for residents and commuters on Sinhagad Road, providing much-needed relief.
  3. Previously, drivers would spend 4-5 minutes at each intersection, with traffic moving at just 9-12 km/h. The new flyovers aim to not only increase vehicle speed but also reduce congestion and make the commute smoother for everyone traveling on Sinhagad Road.
  4. The construction of these flyovers is a step in the right direction towards improving the overall infrastructure and transportation system in Pune. It is expected to benefit a large number of people who rely on this route for their daily commute.
  5. With the completion of these flyovers, residents and commuters can look forward to a more efficient and hassle-free journey on Sinhagad Road, saving time and avoiding unnecessary delays caused by traffic congestion at these key intersections.
