It was a shocking incident in Hadapsar, Pune, as a 33-year-old woman and her husband were viciously attacked following a dispute over a parked four-wheeler. The altercation, which took place yesterday evening, has led to a case being registered at Hadapsar Police Station.
Madhuri Nikhil Pawar, a resident of Manjari Budruk, lodged a complaint against Tushar Zende, a nearby society resident. The argument erupted when Zende questioned why a cab, booked by Pawar to visit her mother, was parked on the road.
The situation quickly turned violent, with Zende allegedly verbally abusing Pawar’s husband before physically assaulting him. When Pawar intervened, she too was attacked. Zende reportedly used his helmet to strike her and even threw a stone at her, causing an injury to her left eye.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, Zende has not been taken into custody yet. Pawar expressed her disappointment with the police response, mentioning that she had to stay at the station until midnight while the accused was allowed to leave at 10 pm.
Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Mogale, head of Hadapsar Police Station, mentioned that Pawar had been advised to seek medical help. He also assured that Zende would be apprehended and questioned once the medical examination report is received.
