Hey there, folks! Today we’re diving into the latest buzz at Pune Airport, where the PMPML buses are still not allowed access to the new terminal. Despite clear instructions from the Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, the buses are being kept at bay by the Aeromall administration, causing a stir among passengers and officials.

Currently, PMPML runs a service between Ramwadi and Pune Airport, but the buses are not allowed inside the terminal. This forces them to stop outside near Aeromall, leaving passengers in a lurch. Many end up shelling out big bucks for cabs when a much cheaper option is available through PMPML and Metro, costing only around ₹50 to ₹60 compared to cab fares of ₹200 to ₹300.

Passengers have voiced their concerns to the Union Minister, who directed the Airport Administration to provide a designated space for PMPML buses inside the terminal. However, it seems like the administration is dragging its feet on this matter, much to the dismay of travelers.

The absence of a designated bus stop within the terminal is hurting PMPML’s ridership, as passengers opt for cabs due to lack of visibility of the bus service. The PMPML even launched AC buses for air travelers, but the lack of awareness has resulted in a poor response from passengers.

If the Airport Administration allocates space for PMPML buses, it could offer a more affordable and convenient travel option for passengers. The delay in granting access is raising questions about whose interests are being prioritized, with private cab services reaping the benefits of the lack of affordable public transport options at the airport.

Stay tuned as we keep you updated on this developing story at Pune Airport!
