Pune city police are on high alert following a late-night party at L3 – Liquid Leisure Lounge on FC Road. The party, attended by around 40 to 50 people, reportedly continued past the permitted hours, leading to the detention of five individuals. Two police personnel have also been suspended due to alleged negligence in handling the situation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Sandeep Singh Gill revealed that the party was organized by Akshay Kamthe at the L3 pub, which has been operational since June. Videos from the scene show two individuals allegedly consuming drugs, prompting a deeper investigation into the matter.
In response to this incident, the Pune police have taken disciplinary action by suspending two beat marshals for their negligence. DCP Gill emphasized the importance of accountability within the police force, especially in the face of public scrutiny.
