Tragedy struck at Mulshi Dam as two college students from Pimpri-Chinchwad lost their lives in a drowning incident. Anish Raut and Vishal Rathod, both young students, were part of a group of friends who had gathered for a picnic at the popular spot.
The group, which included eight friends, decided to take a dip in the waters of the dam’s catchment area. Unfortunately, Anish and Vishal found themselves in deep water and tragically drowned.
Quick thinking by their companions led to the authorities being alerted promptly. Police Inspector Santosh Girigosavi and his team, along with divers from Hinjawadi, rushed to the scene to conduct a search and rescue operation. Despite their efforts, the search had to be called off due to the darkness of the night.
The surviving members of the group, Govind Chakli, Jeet Londhe, Atharva Raut, Raj Yadav, Soham Jadhav, and Aditya Babar, are cooperating with the police as they investigate the incident. Our hearts go out to the families and friends of Anish and Vishal during this difficult time.
